From Monday 11 April residents have been able to recycle all their plastic pots, tubs and trays as well as plastic bottles, in their blue top recycling bins.

Elmbridge Borough Council have let residents know about the additional plastic materials they can recycle by placing information on every bin. The information explained which types of plastics can now be recycled as well as listing some that can’t. The council is also promoting the new plastics recycling with roadshows.

All the information is available at www.elmbridge.gov.uk/bins
